One of the marks of the early church as recorded in the book of Acts was their devotion to fellowship. At First Presbyterian we believe that in response to God's call we are called to love one another. We do this through growing closer in friendship with one another in response to God's own fellowship with us. Recreation, retreats, ski trips, and suppers offer a variety of opportunities to express our devotion to fellowship.
Wednesday Night Supper (WNS): Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Dinner is served from 6:00 to 6:30 PM. Children's fellowship and choir begins at 6:30 and runs to 7:30 PM. The adults enjoy evenings filled with a variety of activities from small group discussions, Bible Study, and other special events and programs with music and prayer.
Recreation: The goal of church softball and other sports activities is to simply have some fun. Everyone who signs up plays these co-ed sports that are open to youth, college and adults.
Retreats: Throughout the years, the church has created numerous opportunites for retreat. Our Spiritual Fellowship and Nurture Committee is responsible for planning these opportunities.
Ski Trip: An annual outing intended for youth, but open to all who want to brave the slopes of North Carolina or West Virginia. Days are spent on the slopes and evenings are spent in prayer, Bible study and games.
